We are thrilled you are considering adoption!
Adopting a dog is a big decision. We rescue dogs of all breeds and ages. Please make sure you research any particular breeds you are interested in prior to adoption. Not all dogs are created equal!
If you see a particular dog that appeals to you, please download and fill out our adoption application OR use our online form. If you do not have a particular dog in mind, you can still fill out the adoption application and we will find a suitable match for you based on your lifestyle.
At this time SPCAANC does not have a facility where dogs can be viewed. All of our dogs reside with our foster homes.
We typically adopt out dogs in the state of NC. We do at times make exceptions for special needs and elderly dogs.
Our adoption fee is $200 unless otherwise noted.

If you do not receive a response to your application within two weeks, we have determined that adopting from SPCAANC is not appropriate.
If everything is in order, we will contact you by e-mail or phone to further discuss and review your application. We will also contact the vet reference you provided. Also, we will conduct a home visit to meet you and evaluate your home for placement.
