spcaanc's mission

SPCA Alliance of NC is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding adoptive homes for dogs of all breeds from local kill shelters and private owner surrenders. All SPCAANC dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, treated for any health issues (i.e. heartworms) and micro-chipped prior to adoption.

Meet Marley & Charley *** UPDATE ***

Marley & Charley have been adopted! They went to a home together and are doing great. Their new owner is retired so they have somebody with them most of the day and are getting the love they deserve.

Marley and Charley were found at Sunset Park in Rocky Mount by two disc golfers. When they realized the shape they were in, they contacted the police, who then contacted us for assistance. Upon seeing the dogs, we immediately arranged to get them to EC Vets in Wilson. Due to the extreme matting of their hair, they had to be sedated in order for it to be shaved. They were given fluids to help with their dehydration and malnurishment and medicine to help with some skin problems.

They have been discharged from the vet and are in their foster home where they are being rehabilitated and learning to trust humans. Once they have been neutered and we feel they are ready, they will be ready for adoption. Due to the bond they have, we will be looking for an adopter that can take both dogs together. If you feel you would like to adopt them, please use the Adopt link at the top of the page to learn more about adopting from SPCAANC.

If you would like to donate to the Marley & Charley fund, please visit the ChipIn page we have set up, or mail your donation to the address on the right and designate it for The Marley & Charley Fund. Any funds raised in excess of their vetting will be used by SPCAANC towards the care for other abused/neglected dogs.
